A DEAL could see another co-operative organisation joining a Lichfield-based group.
Talks are taking place over proposals which could see an expansion of the Central Co-op .
If agreed, it would see the Chelmsford Star Co-operative transferred in to create one of the largest independent groups of its kind in the UK.
Bosses said the proposals would strengthen the ability of the societies to navigate the “unpredictable economic landscape”.
In a joint statement, Barry Wood, CEO of Chelmsford Star Co-operative and Debbie Robinson, CEO of Central Co-op, said:

Meetings will take place of Chelmsford Star Co-operative members in July and August in a bi to seek approval for the transfer to the Central Co-op.
