The deputy leader of Lichfield District Council has confirmed he will not seek re-election in May.
Cllr Ian Pritchard follows Conservative colleague Cllr Ben Rayner in deciding he will not stand again.
The deputy leader – who also serves as Cabinet member for economic growth, environment and development services, is currently the representative for the Longdon ward.
He told Lichfield Live: “I always intended, election results allowing, to serve three terms of four years on the district council.
“Having extended that by a further four years, I have now decided not to put my name forward for re-election.”
Cllr Pritchard’s departure comes in the wake of a decision to force him to undergo retraining on the councillor code of conduct after he admitted failing to declare a company directorship.
