DRIVERS are being given the chance to challenge themselves against the clock at an event in Lichfield.
Cannock and District Car Club’s 2025 Wheelspin Autosolo Trophy for production cars is to begin on 2nd February at Curborough Sprint Circuit.
Any roadworthy vehicle can enter, with the event open to drivers aged 14 and above.
They will take on a series of coned slaloms against the clock.
A spokesperson said:
“Nothing fancy is required – and the classes in these events are often won by small cars such as Micras and Clios.
“The course is designed to be non-damaging so it’s perfectly safe to use your shopping car to take part.
“We actively discourage street racing and this formula gives drivers an opportunity to try their skills out in a safe environment.
“We also encourage disabled drivers to take part and have always received very positive comments from our competitors who, for various reasons, may have not realised they can take part in motorsport. “
Entry for the day is £45. The organisation is also keen to hear from people interested in volunteering as marshalls.
