Drivers facing price rises on the M6 Toll

Price changes for drivers using the M6 Toll have been announced.

From March 1, drivers of cars will see their daytime charge raised by 20p to £5.50, while a 40p rise will be implemented for cars with trailers (£10), vans (£11) and HGVs (£11).

Some fares have been cut, however, with drivers of cars with trailers seeing a reduction in weekend and night rates.

Owners Midland Expressway Ltd have announced the rise on the back of recent figures which revealed a 10 per cent drop in traffic using the route in the last three months of last year, compared to the same period in 2010.
