Lichfield Cathedral celebrated in style as it reached the end of a £3.7m project to restore the East End of the building.
More than 700 guests attended a special service of thanksgiving and rededication, in the presence of HRH The Duke of Gloucester.
A significant part of the restoration work has been the removal, conservation and re-installation of the famous Herkenrode Glass.
The Very Revd Adrian Dorber, Dean of Lichfield, said: “It was a very fitting celebration marking the end of a significant chapter in Cathedral history.
“It provided an opportunity to bring together many people who’ve had an interest in the repair of the Lady Chapel, and many who’ve been generous contributors. It won’t be a day a quickly forget.”
