One of Lichfield’s most famous sons is being brought to life.

Intimate Theatre will bring Erasmus Darwin to life in a new piece written by David Titley.

Meet the Darwins will see five friends, including Anna Seward, Mary Parker and Dr Small, tell their tales of the great man through personal stories.

Alison Wallis, manager of the Erasmus Darwin House, said: “Each performance will introduce us to a different side of Erasmus’ personality.

“Sometimes they feel a little like gossip, but this is a fun way to interpret a man who lived here over 230 years ago.”

One-hour performances take place at Erasmus Darwin House every 20 minutes from 7.30pm to 8.30pm on May 10. Tickets are £7 and include a glass of wine. To book, call 01543 306260.
