Farm hosts barn dance to raise money for Birmingham Children’s Hospital

Published:

A farm near Lichfield and Burntwood is hosting a fundraising barn dance.

Lanes Farm, on Lichfield Road in Sandhills, will hold the event on June 25 in aid of Birmingham Children’s Hospital.

Farmer Debra Orgill is organising the dance to raise money as a way of thanking the hospital and its nurses and doctors who are currently treating her daughter.

Debra explained:

“Birmingham Children’s Hospital is close to the hearts of all those involved in organising this barn dance as we have all at sometime had children who have been treated at the hospital.”

Preparations are well underway. The barn has yet to be emptied of potatoes but will be kitted out with hay bales, a licensed bar and hot food for purchase. There will be a live band and, of course, dancing!

Admission is by ticket only £10 per adult and £5 per child. All proceeds going to Birmingham Childrens Hospital. Tickets are on sale now and available by calling Debra on 0751 587 2665 or Steve on 0797 029 2170.
