Residents in Fazeley have joined people across the country in remembering the bravery of servicemen and women on Remembrance Sunday.
Dignitaries and residents gathered at Memorial Square on Sunday (November 14) to lay wreaths on the war memorial, before attending a service at St Paul’s Church.
Councillor Andrew James, Mayor of Fazeley Town Council, said:
“The day was a fitting tribute to the fallen of Fazeley and beyond. It was well attended by local people, and gave us an opportunity to come together on Remembrance Sunday.”
The Chairman of Lichfield District, Councillor Barry Diggle, was honoured to lay a wreath on behalf of Lichfield District Council. He said:
“The service was moving and gave us all a chance to think about the huge sacrifice service men and women across the country have given to us, and to especially think about our own local heroes.”
