Forty new jobs are will be created when a new store opens at a retail park in Lichfield.

Discount retailer B&M has confirmed it will take up two of the units at the Imperial Retail Park on Eastern Avenue.

The company will join Lidl, Costa and PureGym at the site when it takes over the building in May with a view to opening in the summer.

It currently operates a city centre store on Market Street and said this shop would remain open alongside the new one.

A spokesperson from B&M said: “We’re feeling really positive about the creation of more jobs for local people and we hope customers are going to be delighted with their new store.

“We are all really excited to get the doors open and welcome our new customers through the door in the summer.”

The new B&M store means that only one unit remains to be leased at the Imperial Retail Park.
