Visitors to Lichfield’s Erasmus Darwin House are set to enjoy a very Georgian Christmas at a special celebration.
The venue will offer free entry between 10am and 5pm on December 12 as part of the celebration of Darwin’s 280th birthday.
A number of activities will take place including seasonal crafts and festive stalls, while the museum will also be decorated for Christmas to create the perfect atmosphere for enjoying mulled wine and mince pies.
Alison Wallis, manager of the museum said: “It promises to be a really special day – an extension of the exciting activities happening in the city that weekend – and we hope the public will get in the holiday spirit and join us in celebrating Darwin’s birthday as well as enjoying all that we have going on during the day.”
