Lichfield’s historical cookery experts are returning with recipes from the past at the Garrick.

The Historical Cookery event is a lighthearted look back at our culinary heritage with chef Simon Smith guiding the audience through expert preparation, whilst Professor Roland Rotherham puts it all into historical context.

The duo use their latest show to pay tribute to the great chefs of 18th and 19th century Europe. From the great Careme there will be creamed trout with savoury toasts, and from the Vienna of Johan Strauss Styrian Carp and famous dishes from the Hotel Sacher.

Historical Cookery will be at the Lichfield Garrick on April 19 at 7.30pm. To book tickets online visit www.lichfieldgarrick.com or call the box office on 01543 412121.
