Lichfield Rugby Club president, Barry Broad, said the support was welcome.

He said: “On behalf of the club officials, I’d like to say a big thank you to the team at Miller Homes for sponsoring us.

“The support of local businesses is vital to the continued success of our club and the young individuals who represent us each weekend.

“As a result of this donation, we’ve been able to really focus our attention on the action on the field, continuing to nurture our talented players. This investment will set us in good stead for future seasons to come.”

Miller Homes is currently constructing new developments at Roman Heights and Cathedral View in Streethay.

Alastair Parsons, area sales director for Miller Homes Midlands said: “By supporting local organisations like Lichfield Rugby Club, we’re helping to enhance the already thriving community and provide opportunities for current and new families in to the area, who have a passion for sport.

“From everyone at Miller Homes, we wish the club every success for the future, both on and off the field.”
