An evening of comedy, songs and sonnets is being promised at the Samuel Johnson Birthplace Museum.
Local group Intimate Theatre will take visitors on an exploration of Shakespeare’s works in A Pocket Full of Bricks.
Ian Henderson, Jane Gentles, Elle Knight and David Titley will be bringing together a range of scenes, together with the added spice of Johnson’s wry comments.
A spokesperson said: “Don’t miss this opportunity to enjoy the best of our nation’s greatest playwright in the home of our nation’s greatest wit – and also find out where the curious title comes from!”
The event on Saturday (October 6) has been rescheduled from the original date in May. It is being staged in honour of the world Shakespeare Festival.
