Jewellery taken after burglars strike at house in Lichfield

Jewellery has been taken during a burglary at a house in Lichfield.

Police say the incident happened at an address in the north west of the city at around 8pm on Good Friday (April 3).

A Staffordshire Police spokesperson said: “Two offenders gained entry to the house by forcing open the front door.

“They entered the master bedroom and took a black safe which contained various items of family jewellery, predominantly from the Far East. The items, which are of great sentimental value, have Far East hallmarks.

“The men are described as white, of slim build with a local accent and wearing all dark clothing and trainers.”

Anyone who is offered jewellery for sale or who has any information regarding this burglary is asked to ring 101 quoting incident 720 of 3 April.
