Labour’s Parliamentary hopeful for Lichfield and Burntwood has visited a local school as part of Autism Awareness Month.
Chris Worsey met with pupils at King Edward VI School. They spoke to him about the impact autism has on their lives.
“It was a real pleasure to spend time chatting to the students,” he said. “We need to make sure that we are creating systems that support autistic pupils not just relying on individual parents or teachers.
“Initiatives such as specialist interview training, increased awareness and strategies embedded within all teacher training can make a real difference to young people with autism.”
