A LOCAL law firm has seen its fundraising efforts for charity pass £5,100.
More than 20 members of the Davisons Law team took on the Wolf Run in aid of Cure Leukaemia, while three of their colleagues completed a five-day cycle ride from London to Paris.
The company is one of the first members of the Club 10 initiative to help fund vital clinical trials for children battling blood cancer.
The firm has pledged £10,000 per year to support the ATICUS Paediatric Transplant Trials Network, which operates across ten children’s hospitals nationwide.
Darryl Wilkes, equity director at Davisons Law who was part of the team which completed the London to Paris cycle challenge said:
“We are incredibly proud to be one of the first members of Club 10.
“As our chosen charity of the year, Cure Leukaemia’s mission to advance treatments for blood cancer patients resonates deeply with our values.
“Being part of this pioneering initiative that directly supports children’s clinical trials across the country is both an honour and a responsibility we take very seriously.
“To see over 20 of our colleagues take on the Wolf Run while we were cycling through France really demonstrates the fantastic spirit we have at Davisons Law. The physical challenges were tough, but knowing we’re raising money for such an important cause kept us all going.”
