Two of Sheffield’s best up and coming bands are heading to Lichfield.
Mabel Love and oBLONG will be playing at the night hosted by Wonky Hi Fi at the George IV tomorrow (September 19).
Mabel Love have influences such as U2 and Echo and the Bunnymen, while obLONG list roots in “everything from Velvet Underground to the Ramones to The Prodigy and back via Leftfield”, meaning another night of top notch live music is in store for Lichfield fans.
A £3 entry fee is being charged to get into the venue’s back room and see the bands and a spokesman for the night explained:
“We’re not hoping to make any money out of this – the door money is being used to pay the bands expenses because they’re travelling from Sheffield.
“As an added bonus, local favourites Meberob will be kicking things off for us from around 9pm.”
