Lichfield British Superbikes star Gary Mason believes he has seen “potential” in the 2011 MSS Colchester Kawasaki bike after the season opener at Brands Hatch.

The city rider overcame difficulties in his first race on the Ninja ZX-10R to claim a creditable tenth in race two.
But with team-mate Stuart Easton sitting third overall in the championship, Mason will be looking to up his game next time out at Oulton Park.
And Mason believes that he’s seen enough in the bike to believe there’s more to come. He said:
“My second race was certainly better than the first and I think we are getting there. Brands isn’t a great track for us and with a new bike it’s hard to get on the pace, a few tenths here and there make a big difference around such a short track.
“But there is certainly potential, I went faster than I ever have around Brands and as always the boys worked their guts out. I’m now really looking forward to Oulton which is a rider’s circuit and one I love.”
