Several business based in the District have been honoured in the Building Excellence Awards.
The awards, hosted by Lichfield District Council and Tamworth Borough Council’s shared Building Control Service recognise projects throughout Lichfield District and Tamworth Borough.
An award ceremony at Lichfield Guildhall on Tuesday 11 January saw 70 guests attend a lunchtime ceremony to collect their awards from Lichfield District Council Chairman, Councillor Barry Diggle and Ged Cooper, manager of Lichfield and Tamworth Building Control.
Categories for awards included conversion work, extensions, residential new builds, commercial work and partnership work and winners were based on the overall best design, management and construction of the build.
Councillor Neil Roberts, Lichfield District Council’s Cabinet Member for Development Services, said:
“These awards celebrate excellence in the building industry, and I am delighted to see such a wealth of fantastic projects across Lichfield District and Tamworth Borough. Congratulations to all the winners and runners up, and good luck in the next round.”
The winners in each of the seven categories will now go on to represent Lichfield District and Tamworth Borough in the Staffordshire Building Excellence Awards, taking place on 4 February at Burton Albion Football Club’s Pirelli Stadium.
