Giosprite has created an interactive demonstration to allow council leaders from across the country to see how areas such as transport, waste management and tourism could be boosted by the use of digital tools.

The showcase features an illustrated cityscape copmplete with interactive bus stop displays and signage, smart car parking functionality and noise and air pollution monitoring.

The company is hoping to showcase how sensors, apps and analytics can help improve cities and make them more sustainable.

Nick Wilcox, CEO for Giosprite, said: “It is important that city and town councils have strong strategic direction when it comes to planning, implementing and operating smart city infrastructure.

“We understand it can be challenging for local authorities to visualise a fully integrated, affordable system so our new demonstration suite will give decision makers the opportunity to see these technologies in action, learn how to start small and scale up, and visualise how smart city concepts can become working realities for everyone.”
