George Koch Sons Europe Ltd, which supplies surface treatment and paint finishing systems for the automotive and industrial markets, will take on office space on the first floor of City House.

The site is part of the City Wharf development opposite Lichfield City station.

The company had previously been based in Fradley.

Neal Bestwick, of landlord E H Smith Holdings Ltd, said: “We are pleased to have let the first floor of City House so quickly after its refurbishment, which reflects the level of demand for this type of accommodation in central Lichfield.

“The ground floor has recently gone under offer so we hope to have let the whole property within six months of refurbishment which would exceed our expectations.”

Andrew Buckman, from agents Kingston, said the deal showed Lichfield was still an in-demand location for businesses.

“The letting to George Koch shows that there is a good level of interest in high quality office space in Lichfield,” he said. “The company needed to keep its high quality image and location for both staff and clients. City House has been able to meet these needs.”
