A CARE home in Lichfield has been sold to a new owner.

Rosemary Lodge Care Home, on Walsall Road, has been owned by Susan Angement for almost 36 years, but a deal has been agreed through Christie and Co with an existing operator.

The 28-bedroom property was sold ahead of Susan’s planned retirement.

She said:

“A couple of years ago, I knew it was important to start planning my retirement. More importantly, I wanted not to be in a rush and to find the most suitable buyer.

“It was the toughest decision I’ve ever made, as the home has been my baby for almost 36 years since we started with three residents on 3rd October 1990.

“To continue the legacy and success of the home for the future, I knew I could only hand over the baton to someone who could bring experience together with new energy and a new vision.

“With numerous buyers interested in the sale, the buyer was introduced by Christie and Co and I  knew immediately with confidence that he was the right buyer to take Rosemary Lodge forward to the next chapter in its history.”
