LICHFIELD City saw their Women’s FA Cup hopes dashed after a narrow defeat at home against Shrewsbury Town.
The Trade Tyre Community Stadium side more than matched their opponents as the two sides played out a goal-less first half.
But a well-worked second half goal proved decisive as Lichfield were beaten 1-0.
