Final preparations are now well underway for what promises to be two nights of outrageously funny entertainment in Lichfield with the fifth annual instalment of Comic Relapse.
The show, which has previously been described as an entertaining mixture of “imaginative filth and intellectual terrorism”, is to be performed for two nights only, at 7.30pm on September 25 and 26 in the Garrick Studio Theatre.
Comic Relapse is the brainchild of three local writers and actors, Ian Davies, Chris Stanley and David Stonehouse, who once thought it would be a good idea to write a comedy sketch show to raise funds for Comic Relief.
Now into their fifth year and so far having raised more than £2,000 for Comic Relief, the team of actors and supporting crew have been busy polishing their latest production. They hope that their new side-splitting sketch show will draw in the crowds and raise yet more money for the worthy charity.
The show has a cast of eight who between them will act out more than 30 brand new comedy sketches featuring a wide collection of new and much-loved characters.
A spokesperson added:
“While the show is not recommended for young children due to the nature of some of the material, the young at heart should definitely come along! It’ll only cost you a tenner, and half of that will go to Comic Relief, so what are you waiting for?”
