Lichfield’s Art Box Festival has kicked off with an opening night celebration.
MALT played host to an eclectic mix of artists, supporters of the arts and curious passers by as the mission to bring contemporary arts to a wider audience in the city began.
Art Box director Robyn Lawrence was pleased with the turn out of the opening and has high hopes for the rest of the week.
“The ethos behind Art Box is to begin to cultivate a more contemporary art scene in Lichfield, provide opportunities for young artists to exhibit and to bring art to less traditional venues to reach a wider audience, maybe catch some people by surprise,” Robyn explained.
