A consultation has been launched after Armitage with Handsacre Parish Council became the ninth area in Lichfield to submit a neighbourhood plan.

The document outlines how the area could be shaped in the future and, if approved, it will provide a framework for development that will form part of Lichfield District Council’s development plan.
The consultation will run until April 6. Comments will then be collated and passed on to an independent examiner who will decide if the proposals meet national requirements and can go forward to a local referendum.
Councillor Ian Pritchard, Cabinet member for economic growth, environment and development services for Lichfield District Council, said: “Well done to everyone who has worked on this plan.
“It’s a great achievement to have got it this far in the process and we look forward to receiving comments throughout the consultation.”
