PLANS to build three homes on land in Upper Longdon have been rejected.
The development had been earmarked for land off Brereton Hill Lane.
A planning statement submitted to Lichfield District Council said:
"The site is located within the green belt wherein development is considered to be inappropriate unless it falls within one of the exceptions listed within the National Planning Policy Framework or where it meets the tests for grey belt development.
"This application is considered to meet the provisions of the latter."
But council planning officials said the scheme "would constitute inappropriate development within the green belt" and that the site "lies outside any defined settlement boundary".
Full details can be found on Lichfield District Council's planning website.
