Memories of World War One will be brought into focus at an event in Lichfield.
The St Mary’s Players will be performing sketches, songs and readings from the Great War on May 28.
The ‘Come and Join Us’ performances will take place in St Mary’s in the Market Square.
Lyn Tyler, a volunteer at Lichfield Museum and co-writer of Come and Join Us, said: “We wanted to mark the centenary of the outbreak of the First World War, so we’re bringing local memories of this time alive through sketches, stories and song.
“The performance will be uplifting, as well as poignant.”
There will be two performances on the day. The 2.30pm matinee includes tea or coffee and a slice of cake and the 7.30pm show includes wine and nibbles. The matinee costs £5 and the evening performance £7.50.
