A LICHFIELD student has been called up to represent England on the international stage.
Frankie Carless, 15, has been selected for the WKF Cadet, Junior and U21 World Karate Championships which take place in Poland in October.
The Friary School student took up the sport aged just four and has gone from strength to strength ever since.
Last year he achieved two international medals at the JKS European Cup in Copenhagen and the English International Open.
The latest call-up follows his selection for England in the JKS World Cup competition in August in Brazil.
