A WEDDING venue could convert offices into overnight accommodation if plans are approved.

Blackbrook Barns has submitted the proposals to Lichfield District Council.

A planning statement submitted with the application said:

"The business, which has now been operating for approximately 12 months, specialises in hosting weddings and private events, offering a high-quality, destination-style experience within a countryside setting.

"The business has successfully completed 40 weddings within its first year of trading, and this strong initial performance demonstrates clear demand for the venue and supports its position within the West Midlands wedding market.

"Despite its success, the venue currently has no on-site overnight accommodation. This presents a key operational limitation and constraint on future growth.

"The scheme therefore comprises the change of use of Blackbrook Hall from office use to overnight accommodation for wedding guests.

"At present, guests must rely on off-site accommodation, which can be limited in availability, require additional transport, and detract from the overall guest experience. This can also create logistical challenges, including increased vehicle movements to and from the site, particularly late in the evening."

Full details on the proposals can be found on Lichfield District Council's planning website.
