Pictures of some of Hollywood’s greatest stars taken by the late Lord Lichfield are to be exhibited at the Shugborough Estate.

Lichfield at the Movies will run from July 20 to October 1 and feature photographs of the likes of Marlon Brando, Charlie Chaplin, Dean Martin and Joan Collins.

The collection of images will be on display in Lord Lichfield’s former cinema room.

“Many aspects of Patrick Lichfield’s life at Shugborough are celebrated at the famous Staffordshire estate, and Lichfield at the Movies is both a tribute to his photographic skills, and a privileged glimpse of some of the best-known Hollywood A-listers of the time,” said county councillor Mike Lawrence.

Lord Lichfield inherited Shugborough from his grandfather in 1960 and opened it to the public six years later, while also continuing to live in the mansion house until his death in 2005.
