A Lichfield-based business has been visited by Lord Victor Adebowale.
The chief executive of the social enterprise Turning Point Health and Social Care visited Central England Co-operative to find out more about the company’s community work and efforts to support local food banks.
Lord Adebowale – who has advised governments on issues such as mental health and the voluntary sector – was taken around the company’s headquarters on Eastern Avenue by chief executive Martyn Cheatle.
Mr Cheatle said: “We were delighted to extend an invitation to Lord Adebowale to visit us.
“Central England Co-operative is one of the largest and most successful independent co-operative societies and we are always proud to showcase our work to honoured guests such as Lord Adebowale.”
