
A 21-year-old man has been charged with causing the death of a dog walker in Lichfield.
Stuart Blackwell, aged 40, of Manley Road in the city, died following after being hit by a car on the A5127 Burton Road in Streethay at around 7.40am on December 14.
He was walking the family dog Oscar – who also died – at the time of the incident.
The 21-year-old, from Lichfield, was arrested on December 14 and charged yesterday (March 7) with causing death by dangerous driving and failing to stop at the scene of an accident.
He was released on bail to appear before magistrates in Burton on March 21.
