A MAN has been charged after a woman was injured on the side of the A38 earlier this year.
Edward Osbourne, aged 21 and of Birmingham, has been charged with assault occasioning actual bodily harm, attempt to cause grievous bodily harm with intent, criminal damage to property valued under £5,000.
It comes after a woman sustained facial and hand injuries in an assault at the side of the A38 southbound carriageway between the Weeford Island and Bassetts Pole at around 5am on 16th May.
Osbourne has been remanded into custody ahead of a trial due at Birmingham Crown Court in November this year.
Police are appealing for anyone with information or relevant dashcam footage to call 101, quoting incident 135 of 16th May.
