A man charged with the murder of Chasetown dad had been arrested in Northern Cyprus.
John Anslow, 32 and from the Tipton area, had been missing since he escaped from a prison escort van near HMP Hewell in Worcestershire in January 2012.
He was arrested in the Alancak area of Cyprus for immigration offences on Wednesday (March 13) and deported by the Turkish Cypriot authorities.
Anslow was then arrested at Heathrow Airport this morning before being transferred to a high-security prison.
He is charged with the murder of Richard Deakin in Chasetown in July 2010.
Anslow will now appear via video link at Stafford Crown Court on Monday for failing to appear at court in January 2012.
In the past three weeks, nine men have been arrested and charged by West Mercia Police in connection with Anslow’s escape.
