McDonald's outlet at Wall Island reopens after revamp

Changes to layout as business looks to make greater use of technology.

The reopening of the Wall Island McDonald's outlet

A LOCAL food outlet has reopened after a redesign with bosses saying it will provide a "better customer experience for all".

The McDonald's branch on Birmingham Road, which is owned and operated by franchisee Mike McCollum, has introduced a new layout and new technology.

The staff room has also been improved for workers at the restaurant.

Mike, who owns and operates five McDonald's sites in the Midlands, said:

"I’m proud to reinvest in our Lichfield Wall Island restaurant and we can’t wait to welcome back our customers to see the new look.

"It’s exciting to see the changes and I’m confident these will not only benefit our customers but also our fantastic crew at the restaurant."

The work has also seen a redesign of the kitchen and dining areas, as well as the removal of the front counter as the company moves towards ways to "better integrate digital sales channels".
