The Museum Bowling Club have lifted the Swinfen Broun Challenge Trophy after beating Lichfield City Council.
The competition has taken place since 1926, with the Council tam only taking the honours on seven occasions.
But dreams of an eighth win evaporated for the team led by the Mayor of Lichfield, Councillor Christopher Spruce, went down 136-81.
