ANOTHER attempt to build homes on land in Lichfield has been submitted.

A number of previous efforts to get residential development approved at The Rosaries off Trent Valley Road have so far been rejected.

The most recent came earlier this year when planning chiefs at Lichfield District Council said the scheme did not comply with the new design code for the area. They also cited concerns over an unacceptable level of natural light for the proposed properties.

But now a new application has been submitted for six new homes on the site along with retention of an existing house on the plot.

A planning statement said:

“The proposal has considered the former submissions, consultee comments, and reasons for refusal.

“The provision of up to six new-build build dwellinghouses enables the development of a site that can respond to market conditions with an appropriate mix, but avoids a proposal that is overly dense.

“Matters of detail relating to the property type, layout and design will be set out in a later detailed planning submission.”

Full details can be found on Lichfield District Council’s planning website.
