ICONIC voices and musicians have taken centre stage after a Lichfield venue unveiled its new season.

Gomez, Squeeze, The Beautiful South, Fun Lovin’ Criminals and Prefab Sprout founding members lead a star-studded line-up at The Hub at St Mary’s.

There will also comedy, cabaret and theatre served up in the coming months at the city centre venue.

Anthony Evans, creative director at The Hub at St Mary’s, said:

“We are so proud of how the venue is developing – and we are really punching above our weight with the calibre of acts we are now attracting to the city.

“We are a small venue of around 100 capacity. But even though our size makes ambitious programming a challenge, our aesthetically beautiful setting really speaks to artists looking for somewhere intimate to perform.

“Our staff have also done a great job of looking after visiting acts so people want to come and play here.”

As well as live music there will also be a special true crime theatre experience – Murder Staged: Lichfield – which will give audiences the chance to piece together clues to in an immersive performance.

The popular Movies with Wine nights also return, with screenings of Shaun of the Dead and Die Hard paired with themed drinks.

Anthony added:

“This season is packed with rebels, surprises and moments you won’t forget. From trailblazers to Teletubbies, The Hub truly has it all.”
