A NEW St Giles Hospice shop is opening in Lichfield.

The Whittington-based charity will open the outlet at Boley Park at 10am on 3rd July.

The store will stock pre-loved items including clothing, accessories, books and homewares.

It is the 24th shop opened by the charity and will help fund end of life care services.

Robert Evans, head of retail of St Giles Hospice, said:

“We’re absolutely thrilled to be opening our 24th shop in such a wonderful location.

“Every item sold and every donation received directly supports our patients and families during the most challenging times of their lives.

“This new shop will be instrumental in helping us continue providing the highest quality end of life care to our local community.”

Last year saw the charity’s shops raise more than £500,000 towards the annual £10million bill it faces to provide local care services.

Deborah Armstrong, retail development manager, added:

“We’re thrilled to be opening in Boley Park and becoming part of this welcoming local community.

“Our charity shops are the lifeblood of our fundraising efforts, and we couldn’t continue our vital work without the incredible support of our customers, donors, and volunteers.”
