THE official launch of a fundraising campaign for enhancements to sports facilities in Barton-under-Needwood has taken place.
Proposals have been put forward for Holland Sports Club which would see the demolition of four existing buildings on the Potters Way site to be replaced by a new clubhouse with changing rooms, toilets, showers, a kitchen, bar, meeting, room, function room, cafe, restaurant and gym.
A spokesperson said:
“We kicked off our fundraising campaign with a launch event where we had more than 200 people turn up.
“This is testament to the level of positive support that the project is already attracting.
“We presented the plans for the project and how the whole community can get involved.”
