ORGANISERS have hailed the inaugural Lichfield Squash Festival as a huge success.
King Edward VI School hosted the Lichfield Squash Club event which featured taster sessions and competitive fixtures.
There was even a chance for Lichfield MP Dave Robertson to try his hand at the sport.
A spokesperson for Lichfield Squash Club said:
“A huge thank you to everyone who joined us for a brilliant day of squash, community and celebration.
Our taster sessions were a real highlight, with two enthusiastic groups of juniors and adults taking to the court, many for the very first time. The feedback was overwhelmingly positive and we are hopeful that some new members will be joining the club very soon.
“The Club Closed Championship Finals didn’t disappoint either, with fantastic matches across all grades and a great crowd cheering every point.
“It was wonderful to see members, friends and family filling the gallery and creating such a supportive atmosphere.”
