ORGANISERS of a free festival in Lichfield are getting ready to celebrate a major milestone.
Fuse Festival will take place from 11th to 13th July in Beacon Park.
The Lichfield Arts event features live music and community activities across the weekend.
And this year will feature a celebration of a quarter of a century of the festival.
Cathy Fellows, Fuse Festival director, said:
“We’re super excited about this year’s Fuse Festival – it’s shaping up to be one of our best yet.
“I’m especially proud that we’ve been able to keep it free for everyone again in 2025. It gets tougher each year, but thanks to the incredible support from our partners, suppliers and amazing volunteers we’ve made it happen.
“This year, as we celebrate 25 years of Fuse, we’re especially proud to welcome back some of the incredible people who’ve performed at or worked on the festival over the years.
“It’s a celebration of the impact this project has had – not just in music and arts, but in the lives it’s touched and the creative journeys it’s helped launch.”
Among the acts already confirmed for the Fuse Festival are Girlband, Camens and L’Exterieur.
Workshops in circus skills from Flotsam the Fool, art with the Lichfield Society of Artists and theatre with the Lichfield Garrick.
There will also be storytelling from Mark Fraser, activities for young people with Fun Club Hub and crafts courtesy of The Hub at St Mary’s.
Cathy added:
“Fuse is more than just a three-day festival though – it’s a year-round project that provides a platform for local and national creatives, emerging talent and our future leaders in outdoor arts.
“It’s about inspiring the next generation of music lovers, performers, and cultural changemakers.”
