People living in Lichfield and Burntwood are being urged to volunteer to become part of the Olympic Torch Relay.
The London 2012 flame will travel from the National Arboretum through Streethay and into the city on June 30.
And volunteers are needed to help take on marshalling and other roles to ensure the day runs smoothly.
Staffordshire County Councillor Pat Corfield said: “Volunteers will get a great view of the Torch Relay and taking part is a once in a lifetime opportunity that will build your skills and give you a chance to be part of the history books.
“If you think you’ve got the right credentials to get involved then get in touch. It’s an opportunity not to be missed! You can still volunteer even if the Relay is not passing through your own community.”
