The world of Erasmus Darwin is set to come to life in a new performance in Lichfield.

Intimate Theatre will showcase David Titley’s Meet the Darwins on July 23 and 24 at Erasmus Darwin House.
The play sees five friends, including Anna Seward, Mary Parker and Dr Small, tell their tales of Erasmus through stories.
A spokesperson explained:
“Erasmus Darwin was a key local character in the 18th Century. Predominantly a doctor, he was also a keen botanist, inventor and poet who had a full family life. He made a significant impact on the residents of Lichfield and in this performance you can find out how.”
Performances will last for one hour and will run every 30 minutes from 1pm on both Saturday and Sunday. The last performance starts at 3.30pm.
Tickets are £5 for adults and £2.50 for children, including refreshments, and are available to book from the museum or by calling 01543 306260.
