A former farm building near Lichfield could be converted into a mausoleum.
Planning permission is being sought to change the use of an agricultural site on land at Springhill Farm at Muckley Corner.
The site would act as an “above ground burial vault” according to the developers.
A statement supporting the application said: “Increasingly, communities are requesting a greater choice in how loved ones are buried and remembered.
“As such, a mausoleum is a logical addition to the approved cemetery and would cater for all faiths.”
Full details of the proposal can be seen on Lichfield District Council’s planning website.
