A church hall in Lichfield could be demolished and replaced with houses.
Proposals have been submitted to Lichfield District Council to knock down St Michael’s Church Hall and put six residential properties on the land instead.
A planning statement supporting the development said the loss of the hall would not have a significant impact.
“The hall has been vacant for over a year,” the report said.
“Demolition of the hall would not result in the loss of a valued facility as there are a number of similar-functioning community halls within the locality.”
Full details of the proposals can be seen on Lichfield District Council’s planning website.
