Plans have been drawn up for three new industrial units to be built in Fradley.
Developers hope to create the new site on land to the south-east of Prologis Park.
If the proposals get the go-ahead from planning chiefs at Lichfield District Council, more than 34,000 square metres of “employment floorspace” would be created.
Access to the site would come via the new roundabout at Nanscawen Road.
A statement supporting the application said:
“HGV parking will be provided at levels that ensure the occupier will have sufficient trailer parking on site to avoid HGV parking off site.”

The statement added that previously approved planning permission for the 8.26 hectare site had been revisited to reflect market demand.
“Prologis have marketed the site with the benefit of full planning permission, but most of the occupier enquiries received are for smaller facilities.
“The current planning application seeks new outline permission to increase flexibility and marketability of the site.”
