Plans have been drawn up to extend a Lichfield city centre pub.
The Pig and Truffle on Tamworth street is hoping to build additional space in the car parking area at the rear.
The changes would also see a new frontage on the coach arch at the front of the pub and the creation of a beer garden area.
A statement supporting the planning application said: “The proposed extension forms a continuation of an existing extension and provides a much-needed additional trade area within the public house.
“The new beer garden will be bound by a 1.8m high fence line and gate to protect it from the beer garden.
“The proposals have no detrimental impact on the character of the area and will ensure the longevity of this important building and business.”
