Plans have been drawn up for eight new homes to be built next to Samuel Johnson Community Hospital in Lichfield.

Developers want to build the four-bedroom properties on the Wissage Road site.
A previous plan to build 13 three-storey homes on the land was rejected in 2014, but a statement supporting the application says the new scheme is more appropriate to the site.
“Careful consideration has been given to the scale, layout and appearance of the development to ensure that the proposals enhance the character of the area and provide a positive addition to the street scene.
“The proposals will provide high quality accommodation which satisfies the needs and demands of the local area.”
Full details of the proposals can be seen on Lichfield District Council’s planning website.
